Overall underutilized, under-researched, least followed specialty

Woman’s health section is second lowest followed and newer focus in physical therapy. More students coming out of school with certification. This course encompasses more of what pelvic floor PT encompass compared to level 1 H&W and APTA. More broad subjects.. Woman are beginning to take health in to their own hands, rather than just suffering through their pelvic floor dysfunction.

Running and pelvic floor- More woman are running later in life and doing marathons and ultra marathons where this information is needed for all PTs when working with woman runners to look at entire chain.

obstetrics and pelvic floor- Helping to bridge the gap on research and use of PT with obstetrics. Woman are having children at later ages and educating woman throughout the lifespan and understanding obstetrics.

writing clinical research- help our audience learn to write research as we always need more research in pelvic floor. Need to stay on the forefront of research and help to disseminate info to greater audience

UI/Urgency/Prolapse- new research out that validates the use of PTs and clinical interventions with Biofeedback compared to just telling patients to do at home or by provider. Woman are beginning to push surgery off and

DRA and Ultrasound- newer intervention, gold standard for diagnosing and treating DRA.
