Objective

-Describe a systematic and comprehensive approach to conduct a running video analysis

-Identify effective strategies to modify the running form and when to do so

-Identify key components of a bone loading program to improve bone health

-Describe influences on loading of the tibia and metatarsal bones while running

-Construct a rehabilitation program for a runner with patellofemoral pain syndrome

-Recognize the fundamental task components of running, apply fundamental perspective to running gait assessment, and contrast with current clinical methods

-Identify distinct features of super shoes, summarize current scientific evidence for use, and demonstrate clinical reasoning for appropriate use

-Describe common foot and ankle injuries in runners, identify risk factors, and determine appropriate rehabilitation strategies based on clinical presentation

-Explain load management as a strategy to reduce pain and improve function in runners

-Compare strategies to empower an athlete to successfully manage their injury and optimise their recovery

-Describe strength and conditioning principles to develop effective exercise programmes for injured runners

-identify criteria for successful return to running and progress training parameters to achieve a runner’s goals

-Differentiate various technologies used to evaluate a runner’s structure, fucntion and performance
